CAST Sponsor Highlight: CPS Energy

CPS Energy has been a dedicated partner of CAST Schools, consistently showing up to invest in student growth, leadership, and future career opportunities. As one of San Antonio’s most prominent employers, CPS Energy understands the importance of preparing the next generation—not just through academics, but through real-world experiences that help students see what’s possible beyond high school.

CPS Energy proudly sponsors key CAST events such as Three Years of Fear, Speak Up Speak Out, and the annual Youth Rally. These student-led experiences empower young people to take initiative, speak up about the issues that matter to them, and work together to create lasting impact/legacy. With CPS Energy’s support, students across CAST campuses are given the space and resources to lead with confidence and creativity.

But CPS Energy’s commitment goes a step further. Earlier this year, they welcomed students from CAST Tech High School to their new headquarters for an immersive career day experience. Students had the chance to tour the facility, meet with professionals from different departments, and learn about the wide range of career paths available at CPS—from engineering and IT to customer service and energy innovation. It was a powerful opportunity for students to connect what they’re learning in the classroom to real, meaningful careers in their own city.

CPS Energy’s partnership with CAST is rooted in a shared belief: that students should be at the center of their learning and should be given every opportunity to succeed. By opening their doors and investing in student voice, CPS Energy is helping to shape a future where today’s learners become tomorrow’s leaders—equipped, inspired, and ready to power the world ahead.
